What Is the Name of This Book?! HELP!?
Question by : What is the name of this book?! HELP!?
I started reading a book a few years ago but had to return it before I finished. I was enjoying it and want to know how it ended, but I can’t think of what the name is! Help me! Here’s what I remember about the plot:
A woman has a son who is a drug addict. He comes home to try and turn things around (I think he may have started working for his grandparents, as well? Not one hundred percent sure). A police officer shows up or something and tells the mom that a drug dealer had been murdered (beat to death with a bat), and wanted to know if her son may have been involved. She says no. Then, while going through he sons boxes/stuff, she finds a baseball bat (louisville slugger?) and starts thinking that he may be guilty and this could be the murder weapon used to kill the drug dealer. She doesn’t tell her son or ask him about it. I think she may have destroyed the bat, but I’m not completely sure. This was a few years ago.
If ANYONE has ANY idea of what this book MAY be called, PLEASE let me know. I DESPERATELY want to read it again!
Also, I know this book is NOT very old! It was pretty new when I read it a few years ago!
