Question by wamah: What does this UPS tracking update mean?
This is the current update on a parcel i am tracking on UPS:

Louisville, KY, United States 02/06/2013 15:58 UPS has obtained documentation and submitted to Food & Drug Administration and/or department of AG/PPQ; awaiting response / Brokerage released shipment Shipment is submitted to clearing agency for further clearance.

Can someone help explain what this means? I am actually sending some insulin and insulin needles from Nigeria to my father-in-law who is in the U.S. treating his eyes and ran out of supplies. I already included medical documents supporting the prescription

Apparently it has to clear Customs before being delivered.
