Need Custody Case Transferred?

Question by Christina W: Need custody case transferred?
I kive in Kentucky and have for the past year and a half. My divorce took place in Maryland where everything is filed.
I want to change visitation arrangements due to some disturbing behavior in my ex (ie. drug/ alcohol abuse/ mental disorders) and child support but was told that i first need to have my case transferred to KY. Does anyone know how to do this? Can it be done without a lawyer since I cannot afford one?

By establishing residency for the dependents in KY, the case will belong to KY courts and adminstration.
Contact the Child Services department in KY, and explain the situation. They will be able to direct you in th correct course.
