Freebird’s Last Flight promo – The “Freebird’s Last Flight” presentation consists of a slide show using Power Point illustrations, video clips and music of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. The presentation covers the story of the band’s rise to fame; the Christian background that many of the band members had; the effects that alcohol and drugs had on their lives; and the tragedy of the 1977 plane crash that took the lives of three of the band members. Interwoven throughout the presentation is the use of Scripture to present a clear message of forgiveness and redemption that comes solely through the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood. Also included in the presentation is Barry’s personal testimony and the damaging effects that drugs and alcohol had on his own life in his teens and twenties and that of his family. Most importantly, Barry will share about the saving grace and redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ in his own life. The Freebird Outreach Ministry has been privileged to gain the support of many men and women associated with Lynyrd Skynyrd and other groups as well. The personal message of hope and restoration contained in the presentation thru video and music from Johnny and Donnie Van Zant has been an huge encouragement to those struggling with addictions. “Freebird’s Last Flight” is a very unusual presentation where Rock’n Roll and Christianity cross paths.
