I have a question concerning underage marriage with concent by a parent. Im 16 years old, and want to marry my boyfriend that is an adult. My mother has already gave me concent to date him, we have already looked over the Kentucky State Laws for me which is underage to date someone over the age of 18. So no problem there, I have been talking over this situation with my mother quite frequently, but a question came about that we was unsure of. Will I need my fathers concent to, to marry my boyfriend? My biological father has NEVER been apart of my life, my mother left him when I was just born because of his heavy drug use. He has been in and out of penetentaries for the last 17 years because of his drug addiction. He has never paid ANY child support towards me or my brother. He is actually in Prison right now in Wisconsin for the same reason…drug use… So even though he has never been around at any point will I need his concent to marry? If so, how would I do that, would I just need to send a paper for him to sign? Would he have to actually be present at the court house?

Are you crazy? Do not get married at 16 you will regret it. Try and date the guy and take birth control for like 3 or 4 years first. Then maybe you could consider getting married.
