Vote Stephanie Pearce Burke for District Court – The decision you make in electing a Judge is an important one. However, many voters are unfamiliar with the judicial candidates. As a result, they are forced to make an uneducated decision on Election Day. When you turn your ballot over and “Vote Burke For Judge” on November 2nd, you can feel confident you are making an educated choice for the best candidate for District Court Judge in Division Fourteen. Over the years, I have acquired an awareness of the true condition of our community. An overwhelming majority of the people involved in matters before our courts are dealing with issues of poverty, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, or other societal problems. We need Judges who understand these issues and are aware of the resources available in our community to help people overcome them. I am passionate about my service to this community. As Judge, I will strive to improve our justice system and the lives of the people who come in contact with it. I will treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve and I will always remain aware of the great impact of my decisions, not just on the individuals standing before me, but on the community as a whole. I have practiced law in Jefferson County for over fifteen years and earned valuable experience in the justice system as both a prosecutor and as a defense attorney.
